How You Can Help The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra

                       AND   Save Some Tax!

The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra has been classified as a Charitable Organization because it regularly performs charitable works by performing concerts for no fee in certain situations or for very minimal fees barely sufficient to cover it's running costs (hire of rehearsal venue, fees to pay the conductor, fees for APRA - Australian Performing Rights Association). It also maintains a Trust Fund and donations to this trust fund are tax deductible. The Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra is listed in the Registry of Cultural Organizations (ROCO) and is obliged to run its Trust according to very strict guidelines.

The Trust Fund was established for the purpose of acquiring donations from generous patrons in order to further the work of the Melbourne Mandolin Orchestra, to bring the mandolin to new audiences, to encourage the composition of new Australian music for the ensemble, to train new players and to maintain a small collection of instruments to lend to aspiring players. Thus far the MMO has used these funds to assist players with tuition in mandolin technique and to organize a joint concert with another musical organization.

The current Directors of the Trust Fund are:
 Jinette de Gooijer
Jill Johnson
       Danny Silver
Adam Tate

Donations to our Trust Fund are very welcome and are used prudently! They can be made at any of our concerts and a receipt provided promptly. Alternatively, donations may be send directly to the current Treasurer:
